  • Light, in the Fourth Dimension

    In the Sagrada Família, Gaudí seems to have accomplished an impossible gesture: giving light a fourth dimension.

    No longer merely something that illuminates, but a living presence that moves through space, flows along the columns, ignites the colours and changes with the passing of time.

    In this painting, I sought to capture that moment when architecture ceases to be matter. Forms stretch, perspectives merge, colour bursts forth, and every geometric certainty seems to dissolve.

    Only light remains.

    A light that no longer belongs solely to space, but passes through it and transforms it, making visible what we normally cannot see: time.

  • Refraction

    Thus, Refraction becomes the silent tale of a paradox: a single fragment of imperfect glass is enough for an age-old city to appear new, for the everyday to be tinged with unreality, for a physical law to turn into visual poetry. In that encounter between light, matter and memory, the viewer is not merely looking at a landscape: they lean out over a dream that never quite comes into full focus, and it is precisely for this reason that it continues to enchant.

  • Ascension to the Light: The City’s Arms Reaching to the Sky

    In a weave of stone and light, the Sagrada Familia stands majestically, a silent hymn to verticality. Its naves, wrapped in an embrace of iridescent colours, vibrate under the gentle touch of the sun. The light, like a golden liquid, slides between the columns and rises, triumphant, upwards, carrying the soul of the city with it.

    The invisible arms of the crowd, hidden among the reflections of the stained glass windows, rise in a silent cry of gratitude. It is an act of devotion, a spontaneous impulse of those who feel small in the face of the immense and yet called to participate in the divine.

    In this sacred space, the earth seems to yield to the will of the sky, and the cathedral becomes a bridge between the world and eternity. Every colour, every ray of light is a message that crosses time, a prayer of thanksgiving that rises towards infinity.
